VTuber Marketplace Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines are incorporated into our Terms of Service. They explain what belongs on VTuber Marketplace and what happens when rules are broken.

VTuber Marketplace is a global marketplace for pre-made digital VTuber assets — 2D Live2D models, 3D/VRM/FBX models (including VRChat avatars and props), PNGtuber models, accessories, and backgrounds/overlays. It is not an open commission/freelance board or local/in-person marketplace. A seller may offer customization only when attached to their purchased pre-made listing.

Part A — Listing standards (commerce rules)

Every listing must

A license type	Every listing must be marked OTU (One-Time-Use — full rights transfer, delists after sale) or P2U (Pay-to-Use — non-exclusive license, stays listed) with seller-authored license text
A working, direct download link	Your own hosting — no gated surveys, dead links, or unrelated paywalls
At least 3 photos + 1 validated YouTube demo video	Every listing must include ≥3 photos and exactly one YouTube demo video that passes our embeddability/made-for-kids checks before it can publish
Honest presentation	Your own renders/screenshots, accurate title/description, honest compatibility and file-format claims
Legal to sell	You must own or control sufficient rights to sell or license the asset
Accurate scope/contents	Personal/Commercial Streaming/Full Exclusive scope, commercial use, exclusivity, PSD/source contents, modification permission, compatibility, customization, and plan claims must be true

Originality and prohibited-content rules

Category	Rule
AI-generated content	Banned outright. Any model, artwork, rig, texture, or accessory generated in whole or material part by generative AI is prohibited. A confirmed violation escalates straight to an account ban — there is no warning step for this category, unlike other violations.
Stolen or unauthorized art	Banned. Tracing, ripping, or otherwise using another artist's work without their authorization is prohibited and may also be handled under our DMCA / Copyright Policy.
Explicit sexual content	Banned outright, with no age-gate exception.
Mature / suggestive content	Allowed if properly flagged. Suggestive, non-explicit content (for example, swimsuit or lingerie-style outfits) may be listed with the `is_mature` flag enabled. Mature listings are age-gated and blurred by default.
Scams & fraud	Fake giveaways, phishing links, off-platform payment solicitation to bypass Stripe checkout
Duplicate/spam listings	No posting the same asset repeatedly across many listings to farm visibility

We may remove content that is unsafe, deceptive, or harmful even if not listed above.

Listing lifecycle

Listings have no fixed expiry — a listing stays live until you unpublish it, it sells under an OTU license, or it is auto-paused by moderation or the link-health/strike system.

Mark items appropriately and keep your license text, price, and download link current.

Part B — Licensing responsibility

You author your own OTU/P2U license text. VTuber Marketplace does not provide a mandatory license template and does not warrant or interpret your license terms — see the Seller Agreement.

You are responsible for your download link's uptime and content. A broken link that fails our automated health checks, or that is confirmed via a buyer report after a grace period, results in a strike. Three (3) non-expired strikes within a rolling 12-month window result in an automatic account ban.

Part C — Conduct and community behavior

Report suspicious listings or users

Use Block if someone makes you uncomfortable

Leave honest reviews after a completed purchase

Disclose known compatibility limitations (e.g., engine/software version) up front

Don't

Harass, threaten, hate speech, or discriminate

Spam, duplicate junk listings, or keyword stuffing

Circumvent a ban with new accounts

Leave a review without a completed (`fulfilled`) order for that listing, or manipulate/incentivize reviews

Share others' private info without consent

Use VTuber Marketplace for phishing, pyramid schemes, or off-platform payment traps

Offer, request, accept, or redirect a buyer or seller to PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, cryptocurrency, gift cards, bank transfer, another marketplace, or any other payment route to avoid VTuber Marketplace checkout or fees. Confirmed payment circumvention can result in a permanent account ban; repeated blocked attempts are sent to staff review.

Part D — Messages and contact

Direct messages are for listing- or order-related buyer–seller contact and require a verified email address to send.

No unsolicited marketing blasts.

We may review messages reported for abuse.

Automated safeguards can block obvious off-platform payment requests before delivery and preserve a limited excerpt for an auditable staff review. Ordinary social links and seller-hosted delivery links remain allowed when they are not used to evade payment or licensing records.

Part E — Paid features (Pro Seller subscription)

Pro Seller status (lower, admin-configured commission tier) does not exempt you from these Guidelines.

Misrepresenting your subscription status, or using paid features to evade moderation, violates policy.

Part F — Enforcement

1 — Reminder	Remove or edit a listing; send a warning
2 — Restriction	Pause listings (`paused_pending_review`); limit posting
3 — Suspension	Temporary ban from posting or messaging
4 — Permanent ban	Account terminated; evasion accounts banned

Exception — AI-generated content: a confirmed violation skips stages 1–3 entirely and results in an immediate permanent ban (see Part A).

Automated signals: many reports in a short period, or repeated link-health failures, may auto-pause a listing until a human reviews it.

Customization/subscriber work requires a substantive seller update at least every seven days. Timers may remind, mark overdue, pause new service intake, and open a staff case, but do not automatically issue a behavioral strike. Human-confirmed abandonment, placeholder delivery, serious misrepresentation, or repeated unapproved lateness may receive a strike/refund/restriction. External chargebacks temporarily restrict new buyer purchases during review; only confirmed deliberate payment abuse may receive a buyer strike. Legitimate unauthorized-payment and good-faith disputes are not punished.

We are not obligated to provide warnings before action when safety, law, or the AI-content policy requires immediate removal.

Part G — Reporting and appeals

Report

Tap Report on any listing, message, or profile. Include accurate details. False reports may lead to action on your account. To report a broken download link specifically, use Report a broken download link on the order.

If you believe we made a mistake, email support@vtubermarketplace.com with:

Why you believe the action was wrong

We will review when possible but do not guarantee reinstatement.

Part H — Changes

We may update these Guidelines. Continued use of VTuber Marketplace means you follow the current version posted in-app and on our website.
