These Buyer Purchase Terms are incorporated into our Terms of Service and apply whenever you purchase a digital VTuber asset on VTuber Marketplace. If you sell, additional terms apply — see the Seller Agreement.

1. What a purchase gets you

When you complete a purchase, you receive exactly what the seller's license grants — nothing more.

Every listing carries a seller-authored OTU (One-Time-Use — full rights/copyright transfer) or P2U (Pay-to-Use — non-exclusive usage license) license. The exact license text shown on the listing at the moment of your purchase is captured verbatim and stored as an immutable `license_snapshot` tied to your order — this snapshot, not any later edit to the listing, is your permanent record of what you are entitled to do with the asset.

A Personal Use, Commercial Streaming, or Full Exclusive Commercial Rights label and structured contents flags help you compare listings. They summarize but do not replace the seller-authored license. Full Exclusive Commercial Rights must include OTU exclusivity, commercial use, PSD, source files, and modification/customization permission.

VTuber Marketplace does not author, warrant, or interpret seller license text. If you are unsure what a license permits, ask the seller before you buy.

2. Accepting the license at checkout

Before you complete checkout, you must check an acknowledgment box confirming that you have read and accept the listing's license terms. Checking this box and completing the purchase constitutes your acceptance of that license. The accepted license text is preserved as an immutable record tied to your order and remains available to you after purchase, even if the listing or its license text later changes.

3. Digital delivery

Assets are delivered via a seller-hosted download link, not a file hosted by VTuber Marketplace. After a completed purchase, your order's deliverable includes the seller's `deliverable_url`. VTuber Marketplace does not host, cache, back up, or guarantee the continued availability of that file — see Terms of Service §7.

If your download link does not work, use Report a broken download link in-app so we can follow up with the seller and, if applicable, credit a strike under the Seller Agreement.

4. No-refund policy

Sales on VTuber Marketplace are final. Because assets are digital and delivered instantly, we do not offer refunds except in the following cases:

ExceptionWhat qualifies
Non-deliveryYou paid but never received a working download link or deliverable
FraudThe listing was fraudulent, or payment was made without your authorization
Uncorrectable broken/corrupt fileThe delivered file is broken or corrupted, and the seller cannot fix it within a reasonable window after you report it

Refund requests outside these categories — including "I changed my mind," dissatisfaction with art style or quality that matches the listing's photos/description, or a compatibility issue not promised by the listing — are not eligible. Contact support@vtubermarketplace.com to request a refund under one of the qualifying exceptions above.

5. Reviews

You may leave a review for a listing only if you hold a completed (`fulfilled`) order for that listing. You may not leave a review for a listing you have not purchased, and you may not manipulate, incentivize, or solicit reviews. See Community Guidelines for the full review-integrity policy.

5A. Listing plans, customization, and extra-work quotes

After your asset order is fulfilled, you may choose one of up to three monthly plans or purchase listing-attached customization. Every paid plan period and customization quote snapshots the scope, exclusions, allowance, revisions, requirements, dates, weekly updates, delivery, license impact, fees, and cancellation/refund rules you accepted.

Customization payment is a separate Stripe charge. The seller transfer remains pending until you accept final delivery or the three-day review period ends without a revision, extension, fraud hold, or resolution request. Before release, seller abandonment, an unapproved missed guaranteed date, placeholder delivery, material nonconformance, fraud, or voluntary cancellation may qualify for a full customization refund. You must use clear in-scope revision/resolution tools in good faith.

Use the platform resolution path before a service-related external chargeback when it is available. A chargeback can temporarily restrict new purchases while investigated. Only human-confirmed deliberate abuse—never a legitimate unauthorized-payment or good-faith dispute—may result in a buyer strike.

6. Your responsibilities as a buyer

  • Read the listing's license text and photos/description carefully before purchasing.
  • Use the asset only within the scope of the license you accepted — a P2U license does not grant you the rights an OTU license would, and vice versa.
  • Do not share, resell, or redistribute a purchased asset beyond what your accepted license permits.
  • Report a broken link, a misrepresented listing, or a seller violation instead of resorting to a chargeback where a qualifying refund request would resolve it faster.
